Therapeutic counselling sessions for adults and young people looking to express themselves in a safe, creative and empathetic space. In person or online.

About me

My name is Fleur Tattersall

I’m a qualified, BACP registered counselling therapist with a background rooted in the creative arts and many years of experience in education. I work with young people and adults, providing a safe, creative and empathetic space to express and explore themselves.

I provide both short term and open ended therapy, face to face in Wimbledon, or online.

    Approach and Values

My approach is grounded in psychodynamic, psychoanalytic theory, enriched by tools from CBT and Mindfulness. I work with both young people and adults, always placing the therapeutic relationship at the heart of the process—it’s essential for trust, growth, and feeling safe to share.

Creativity plays an important role in my work. I encourage clients to express themselves in whatever way feels right—through art, metaphor, story, or simply sharing a quiet moment. Sometimes humour finds its place too; it can be a surprising ally in making sense of life’s complexities.

Therapy with me is a place to be seen, heard, and supported, just as you are.

    Empathy and Trust

I will listen with all of my self and try to see the world through your eyes. I will be understanding and non judgemental. We will build trust so that alongside empathy, challenge can enter the work in a way that helps you to be reflective.

    Creativity and Containment.

I will encourage your self-expression, and I’ll create a supportive and safe environment for you to feel comfortable to share all aspects of yourself.

    Holistic Approach

Alongside talking therapy, we will be mindful of the effects that stress and anxiety can have, and consider ways you can look after both mind and body.

    How therapy works

You do not have to prepare for therapy sessions! You may worry about what to say or how to say it, but the best advice is to be your true self. Perhaps notice what is coming up for you and share it. This is your time.

For short term therapy, it's good to have a particular focus on what you would like to bring. Open ended therapy gives you time to gently open up and can be really good for those with lots to unravel.

Sessions  are 50 minutes long and take place on the same day and time each week. For short term therapy we will set an agreed amount of sessions. For open ended therapy, we can review at set points.

Before therapy with me, we will have an initial chat followed by an assessment. Our contract will set out how we will work together, including confidentiality and keeping you safe.

    Services

I offer weekly counselling sessions for young people and adults and support for schools.

    young people

It can feel pretty lonely when you're dealing with worries. I'm here to help you feel safe and comfortable while we sort through your thoughts together. I’ve got plenty of experience helping both young people and parents with everything from friendship dramas and family conflict, to anxiety and school worries. I'm interested in what you've got to say. In our sessions, you can express yourself however you want, whether that's talking, drawing, or playing.

    adults

Are you feeling stuck in a situation, past or present, or perhaps you have lost yourself in the demands of life? I'm here to help you feel comfortable to share whatever you want. I will listen without judgement and help you to reflect on your thoughts and feelings. Recognising patterns of behaviour will help you move forward. I have experience working with anxiety, bereavement, depression, low self-esteem, adverse childhood experiences and abuse, domestic violence and family and relationship issues.

    schools

With my extensive experience working in education, I can offer meaningful therapy sessions for staff and inset taster sessions of therapy. As well as pupil counselling, I can consult on emotional support provision in schools.

    Fees

Individual sessions from £75.00. Concessions available.

Invoices are sent at the end of the month. Missed sessions will be charged. This excludes planned holidays where notice has been given.
